Where to start?!
The end of 2009 had a lot of ups and downs. Really, the entire year was full of ups and downs.
I basically had a lot of re identifying to do, due to getting the CI, and that had affected me a lot, however, I know I've grown in the past year.
I also know that I hope I don't stop growing in the future all the while staying true to myself.
Now, I don't believe in resolutions, I haven't ever really set any, nor would I stick to them. i'm not a believer in Ok Jan 1st, let's start stopping or starting something completely new. Because I know in a few weeks, those resolutions go out the door.
Goals, however, I do believe in, because it's something I absolutely can work towards. See, I've never really ever done a diet, i hate the whole idea of eliminating a food, but reducing or increasing a food, yes! and i've never really put my goals on paper (blog). So why not start now, start fresh.
My goals for TwentyTen:
1. Try to learn to not take things so personally (I know i'm overly sensitive sometimes, and I have a habit of taking things the wrong way). So I want to work on that.
2. Train for at least 3 races - I've already signed up for one (cherry blossom 10 mile in april), I want to do the women's half marathon again in NYC since last year's wasn't timed, maybe the Frederick Half marathon (in may?) and/or Philadelphia in September?
3. Be a little more flexible (key word is a little!) in terms of plans and just letting things happen. It's ok if things don't get done that day, they'll get done sooner or later!
4.Try to quit having to have something sweet after every meal. Last year I was able to completely eliminate adding sugar to my breakfast! I eat a bowl of oatmeal (plain) and add bananas, all natural peanut butter (no salt added), and raisins. This is a HUGE feat for me! so now i need to work on the whole dessert after dinner thing.
5. Do at least one thing from our condo to-do list a month!
6. Try a new recipe each week! Just 1! I do cook dinner most days of the week, I just tend to keep things simple and cook the same things over and over. Which is fine because that's what he likes!
7. Be more active in trying to get together with friends.
8.Work towards something new at my job, whether it's a new position at the same company, or find something completely new.
9. Stick with the gym, this is my stress reliever! I also absolutely have to maintain or keep below the size 6. make sure i have rockin' biceps and triceps for the wedding.
10. Try not to stress out over wedding stuff. do one thing at a time, and it'll all come together! It's been stressful thus far, hopefully once the location is locked down, then everything else will be much, much easier, and more fun!

I am also trying to stop eating sweets/craving sweets after dinner! We'll be in it together!!
These are such great goals!
Two things I can't believe:
- Training for 3 races?? THat is AMAZING!!! I'm in awe :)
- I'm also in awe that you can eat oatmeal without added sugar. I'm jealous! That's why I'm not having any oatmeal this month (usually the sugar i add is vanilla almond milk). But maybe I'll try it your way :)
